I began teaching Physical Education at Mount Abraham Fall 1982. I was a brand new teacher after receiving my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Education with a major in health and physical education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Little did I know that this would be the place where I would meet my spouse (Jeffrey Stetson) and continue to teach and coach here my entire professional career. I would later earn a Masters Degree in Education Leadership at UVM in 2005. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer.
My goal as a physical education teacher is to open student’s eyes to living actively. I hope to expose students to a way to be active for their lifetime, and be fit for life. Along with teaching physical education my husband, Jeff and I served as Mount Abraham Union High School Co-Athletic Directors for 25 years and have coached numerous sports. Presently I serve as Varsity Field Hockey Coach.
I am semi-retired so when I am not teaching/coaching at Mount Abraham I also work at BFit teaching fitness classes. In my spare time I love spending time with our family, enjoying the Vermont outdoors and traveling.
