About Me...

I’m excited to join the Mount Abe Eagles as a middle school special educator! I hold undergraduate degrees in psychology and elementary education from the University of Wyoming, and a Master’s of Education degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Southern Mississippi.  My teaching career started on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. Since then, I have held a range of positions in Wyoming and Vermont. It has been a gift to see many different schools and gather best practices from each. One of the most joyful parts of being here at Mount Abe is being with some of my former preschool and elementary students! When I pass them in the halls I smile and rejoice that our lives continue to cross through time.

I live in Hinesburg with my spouse, Paul, and our dog, Jib. We have two adult children, Miles and Jillian. In the winter you can find me at Mad River Glen teaching skiing. In the summer, I’m out on Lake Champlain water skiing with my family. I also love walking in the woods identifying trees in all seasons, hiking, reading, writing poetry and prose, traveling, and working with puppeteers and actors from all over the world creating theatre.
