About Me

Hello, my name is Ayrin Thibault and I am the Vice Principal at Mt. Abe. I want to start by saying, I am elated to be part of the Mount Abraham Family!  

I grew up in Charlotte and graduated from Burlington High School.  I attended the University of Arizona for two years then transferred to the University of Vermont, where I earned an undergraduate degree in science with a minor in community development and economics.  I studied abroad in New Zealand, which led to a backpacking excursion for six months through multiple countries in Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands and Australia. I met amazing people who inspired me to become a teacher. When I returned to the US, I enrolled at Johnson State College and earned a masters in middle level education.   After teaching abroad, I earned a masters degree in educational leadership.

My professional journey has led me to many amazing places including in Georgia, Maryland, Myanmar and Vermont in many different teaching capacities and leadership roles.   I have enjoyed teaching all ages of people from kindergarteners to adults in various settings and subject areas.  Because  of these opportunities, I have learned about so many amazing cultures and places around the world, which has given me a global perspective.  

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, swimming, riding horses and motorcycles, as well as traveling and volunteering.  I believe that life is what you make it and the challenges we face make us stronger with more grit to persevere.   I appreciate everyone's uniqueness and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a member of the team at Mount Abraham Union Middle/High School.
