About Me
I have been teaching at Mt. Abe since 1988. I teach mostly 9th grade English, but also teach Journalism, Page to Screen, and other high school electives. I grew up in the Rutland area and have a B.A. from Middlebury College and a Master's degree from the Breadloaf School of English. I love teaching world literature to 9th graders and I also enjoy reading books then watching the film adaptation and discussing that with my Page to Screen class. As the Journalism teacher, I assist students in producing the school newspaper, The Bird's Eye View, which is published quarterly in the Addison Independent. I am one of the advisors for the New England Young Writers' Conference and Vermont Young Playwrights. I live in Monkton with my husband, and my daughter is at Colby-Sawyer College. I enjoy skiing, golfing, horseback riding, swimming and biking.
