About Me
Hola. I have been working at Mount Abraham since 1999 as a teacher of Spanish in the High School, and occasionally of French in the Middle School. Prior to coming to Mount Abe, I taught at Middlebury High (Spanish) and Middle (Spanish and French) schools for nine years. I graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelor degree in Spanish and Political Science, and from Middlebury College Language Schools with a Masters in Spanish. My love of languages and cultures lead me to also dabble in Italian and German in college, and continues to fuel my interest in visiting other countries when possible. One of my favorite pastimes is African dance, and I have been a student of traditional Guinean dance for the past twenty-five years. I love working and learning with my students and, along with teaching them Spanish, it is my hope that I also instill in them a curiosity about the world and a love of learning. My guiding principle is that Kindness is the greatest wisdom and I strive to incorporate this into all that I do.
