About Me

I have over 20+ years of counseling experience in both public and private middle and high schools.  I have a BA and MEd. in Counseling from Springfield College and grew up in Essex, VT.  I am returning to VT after many years away and will always call Vermont my home.

Over the past eighteen years I have been working with middle school students just outside Boston, MA and the prior years I was working with high school students in Central MA and Northern,  CT.  I have been fortunate to be able to coach many sports over the years such as soccer, basketball, and tennis.

My role as a counselor is to support students in 7th and 8th grade and their families to make sound decisions and teach life skills to be successful in whatever they do in life.  Giving students a safe space and making connections is at the core of the role of a counselor.  I try to meet students socially and emotionally where they are at and guide them through life experiences both in school and out in the community.  Growth mindset is an important part of my beliefs.  I also take pride in working closely with teachers and staff to support students and be a resource for parents/guardians as they support their child through the school experiences.
