About Me

Iā€™m Mike Williams, one of the high school science teachers at Mt Abe. Before teaching I worked as a dolphin and whale wildlife tour guide. I was part of a team that coordinated a citizen science program to train volunteers to collect data of whale and dolphin populations across Europe for scientific monitoring and wildlife conservation. In this role, I spent a lot of time with schools and decided to pursue a career in teaching and moved to Vermont. I also worked as an ecologist.

I enjoy traveling and have lived in five countries. I was a rugby player but I now spend more time on the soccer field. I have two cats, Bane and Bella as well as a classroom snake called Leo who was donated to the school.
