About Me
Hello All! I am Erin and I am excited to be joining Mt Abe this year as team Endeavor’s new science teacher. I love learning, and education has always been an important part of my life. I’m excited to be here and connect with my students, building upon their natural inquiry to discover the wonders of the world around them.
A bit about me, I was born and raised in Vermont and started my professional career in Boston working as a mechanical engineer and sustainable building consultant. While I was working as a consultant, helping both clients and coworkers attain their sustainability goals, I realized that teaching and mentoring others were some of the most rewarding parts of my job. So when an opportunity arose to move my family back to Vermont, I also decided that was the time to transition into the field of education. Since then, I have obtained my Masters in Education at the University of Vermont and have had some great work experience at Montpelier High School and Enosburg Middle and High School as a pre-service teacher and long term substitute.
Out of the classroom, you can find me enjoying time with my family riding bikes, playing on the water, becoming a budding gardener, snowboarding, baking, crafting, tending to our chickens, having silly dance parties or just enjoying a good cup of hot cocoa by the fire.
