About Me

I am the Social Studies teacher on Team Summit. I grew up in southern New Hampshire, but have lived in Vermont for over ten years now. I graduated from St. Michael’s College in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in History and minors in English and Medieval Studies. I also have two master’s degrees from the University of Vermont: one in Historic Preservation and a second one in Teaching Secondary Education. Before becoming a teacher, I worked professionally as a historian and educator in museums, libraries, and schools. I love providing students with authentic experiences in social studies, particularly through place-based and community-focused educational opportunities. I also coach the high school cross country team and middle school track and field team. In my spare time, I love to run and study historic architecture!
